Indian actress Pragya Nagra has acted in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam motion pictures. She debuted in the Malayalam film Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna and the Tamil film Varalaru Mukkiyam in 2022.
Pragya, who was born in Ambala, Haryana, into a Kashmiri family, finished her education and college in Delhi before beginning her modeling career. Her father was in the military and was stationed in Chennai for a while, so she visited the city often. While studying engineering in Delhi, Nagra became interested in modeling and appeared in more than 100 advertisements. In addition, she belonged to the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and aspired to serve in the military. She eventually made the decision to come to Chennai in order to pursue a career in the film industry, though.
Nagra’s first feature films were in Tamil. She portrayed a Malayali girl opposite Jiiva in the 2022 Tamil film Varalaru Mukkiyam. Notwithstanding the unfavorable reviews, Nagra’s performance was praised. She also portrayed a Kannada girl in the Malayalam movie Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna.
